September Monthly Mingle

It's time to start our new season of OBX Green Drinks! Come on out to Waverider's Coffee and Deli in Nags Head on Thursday evening, 9/17, at 7:00 pm to catch up with everyone and learn something new.

You may notice that we're meeting on the third Thursday (not the second Wednesday) -- Waverider's has a conflict with Wednesdays for this month -- and there are additional conflicts for other months -- mostly mine, sorry about that. So here are the meeting dates for the rest of 2015 (all Wednesdays): October 21, November 18, and December 9. Mark your calendars!!

Waverider's still has their awesome sandwich/wrap menu, as well as a nice selection of muffins and pastries. In addition to the coffee drinks, sodas, and juices, etc., we can enjoy draft and bottled beers (domestic and imported), as well as wines by the bottle and the glass. September's topic: "Summer Life on the Outer Banks: What the Tourists Never See". Hear about (and see) a collection of some favorite images of Dare County flora and fauna from the summer of 2015. Enjoy this reminder of how remarkable the Outer Banks is, and how important it is to protect this incredible natural area.

Jeff Lewis, a long-time Dare County resident, has been observing and loving nature for over 50 year, and photographing it for the past 10 years. You may have seen his photos published in local newspapers, magazines, and books, and in exhibit kiosks around the Albemarle region.
