Great meeting last week, guys, we really came up with some great ideas about how to get our group growing. Our first recommendation is to postpone our monthly gatherings until the fall, when its a whole lot easier to travel and more space to mingle at local establishments. Tourism is booming on the Outer Banks all summer long and it makes it more difficult for locals to enjoy ourselves!
Next, we need to get involved with other groups in the area. If you have a group that might like to attend a Green Drinks get-together, please let me know: obxgreendrinks@gmail.com
Thirdly, we need to develop a logo which can be advertised on flyers/posters anywhere and everywhere. If you enjoy graphic design, PLEASE PLEASE give me a shout!
And last but not least, I'm working to create a mailing list to keep everyone in the loop about what's going on. If you'd like to join, just drop me a line and when I have some news to report, you'll be hearing from me!
Thank you to everyone who's helped make Green Drinks Outer Banks a success so far! I look forward to our fall gatherings where we can really plan out some fun stuff like guest speakers and beach cleanups. Ideas are appreciated, so please share :)
